[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]
Name: "Princess" (real name not stated)
Age: approximately and apparently 15
Gender: female
Canon: Tsuki no Sango
Timeline: after the Small Person returns to the moon

Background:
Tsuki no Sango @ the TYPE-MOON wikia. The canon is actually a short story in which "Princess" recounts the legend of how her grandmother supposedly came from the moon to a small man who also came from the moon. The small man leaves after being given a written copy of the legend, and the story ends. If a more detailed description is necessary, I'd be happy to provide one.

Taking sometime in approximately 3000 AD, Tsuki no Sango is a world where humans have lost all passion they once had. Having achieved a certain high level of civilization at some point, humanity has more or less collectively agreed that striving for improvement and advancement has become too much of a hassle. Princess is one such person, living contently on an island of less than fifty people and being happy enough to live her daily life. Towards the end of the year, after turning down another prospect suitor, she meets the Tin Man, a tiny man wearing something akin to a spacesuit and perched atop a small spaceship. He declares himself a merchant and that he came down to the island in order to meet Princess; basically, he wants to make an exchange things they have with each other. While initially Princess declines due to not having anything important, he convinces her after telling her that he would even accept things like stories. Realizing that she does indeed have a story to tell, she accepts the offer, and in exchange the Tin Man delivers a voice message that was meant for her from someone long ago.

The story Princess tells is of her grandmother and how she supposedly came from the moon. A long time ago, after the colonization of the moon was more or less abandoned, there stood a statue of a girl among the manmade fields and forests now on the moon. It was a statue made of stone for sure, but it looked human enough to fool people save for the arms being stone pillars fused into the ground. Eventually, a man from Earth came to the moon, knowing it was a oneway trip but wanting to leave human society and more or less live as a hermit. The man found the statue and would casually converse with it as a way to pass time up there on the moon. The girl statue was actually a lifeform of the moon though, its "soul" if you will, and observed the man every time he came to visit. She studied the man carefully, slowly gaining more humanlike characteristics; essentially, she fell in love with him. However, because the girl was the "soul" of the moon and not human, the more human she became, the more the moon began to die. Despite having fallen in love with her as well, the man from Earth realized that the moon was dying the more she loved him and thus sent her in his spaceship to Earth as the moon dying also meant the girl would die since they were one in the same. Crashlanding onto Earth near an island, the girl survived the crash, and the crash site soon sprang up an exquisitely beautiful coral reef. From there, the girl eventually married, had a child, and lived out her life.

After finishing writing the story, the Tin Man tells her that he has to leave, and it is implied that he will be returning to the moon. Princess is surprised to find herself upset that he's leaving, and she makes another bargain with him to ensure that he'll one day return by saying that she'll write another story. In exchange, even more to her surprise, the Tin Man will bring her a fish from the moon. While the girl initially wrote her grandmother's story as a tragedy, the Tin Man suggests the idea to her that it was actually a happy story in which both her grandmother and the man from earth were quite happy as they were able to honestly express their feelings towards one another even though they separated. Having gotten a new perspective on the story, Princess sings an old, nostalgic song that she learned from her grandmother as she watches the Tin Man leave.

Due to not having many characters in the story, the reader does not see the relationships Princess might have. However, while her grandmother has long since passed away by the end of the story, we do know that Princess thinks of her grandmother as too girlish and somewhat silly. She thinks of the song she learns from her as too romantic and girlish in a way she can't quite understand. When describing her grandmother, she mentions how charming, beautiful, graceful, and other adjectives along that line she was; in comparison, Princess believes she inherited none of her grandmother's feminine grace and calls herself a tomboy in comparison. Still, that doesn't mean she disliked her grandmother, not in the least. She viewed the story of her grandmother as a tragedy and had many objections as to what happened, showing that she did care for her grandmother's wellbeing and sympathized with what she saw as her plight. After coming to understand that her grandmother had actually been quite happy, Princess seems quite relieved at the revelation and happy for her grandmother.

The most notable relationship Princess has is with the Tin Man. Initially, she continues to speak with him out of idle curiosity, but the more they discuss her grandmother's story, the more interested Princess becomes in the Tin Man's thoughts and what he has to say. She finds him odd for sure, but her growing interest in him overpowers any reprehension she might have. Even when they're not discussing the story, Princess enjoys speaking with him over a variety of topics such as the state of the world, humanity, and even the moon. They joke, tease, and learn from each other during his stay on Earth. He's likely the first person Princess has ever felt upset about losing, and that speaks miles when humanity as a whole has more or less stopped caring about everything. Asking the Tin Man to bring a fish from the moon is one of the impossible tasks she gives to her suitors in order to measure "love", knowing that it probably won't ever be fulfilled, but as the Tin Man readily and happily says he'll complete such a task, it's very likely that Princess will believe she can say that she loves him.

Lastly, while we never actually see much of them, there is Princess and her suitors. As the story begins she is watching the Prince of Arishima take his leave, having posed him with one of her many impossible tasks. She poses these tasks not because she personally dislikes her suitors or wants to give them a hard time, but because she doesn't know how else she could begin to understand love. While she does not hate humans or anything of the sort, she would also be the first to say that she doesn't understand them or things like how two humans could love one another.

Personality:
To understand how Princess is, you first have to take a look into what kind of world she lives in. The year is 3000 AD, and as she herself narrates, humanity has progressed and advanced so far that they've all but lost the will to live. Being a part of that humanity, Princess herself is no different. She lives on a remote island surrounded by glittering coral, simply living her day-to-day life without much worry beyond what will happen later in the day. Princess has no particular ambitions or desires, content to live on the island and having no real interest in traveling to the outside world herself. The girl has a simple and practical mindset as well, fitting of her simple lifestyle. While she finds the coral that surrounds the island to be quite beautiful, she also sees it as completely normal due to being around it all the time. Because of that, she doesn't quite understand why outsiders find the coral to be so precious and valuable.

The same can be applied to herself, as well. She is called "Princess" due to the legend that her grandmother came from the moon; while Princess herself doesn't really believe it, her heritage makes her valuable and rare to others even though she herself doesn't really care one way or another. In that though, she is very much a "go with the flow" kind of person. Things can surprise her of course, but no matter how strange or ridiculous a situation is--something that she is at least capable of realizing, despite her dispassionate nature--she'll end up going along with it regardless. She finds her constant suitors to be somewhat pesky, for example, but she makes no effort to dissuade the people from calling her "Princess" even though that isn't even her name. She'll also always see the suitors personally despite not being particularly interested in them. It's evident that it's hard to displease or upset her greatly, and even what bothers her is not enough to make her try and change her situation.

That said though, even if she always does see her suitors, she doesn't make it easy for them to win her love. This is because Princess does not understand the concept of "love"; according to her, along with the passion and drive that once pushed humanity forward into civilization, they also lost the ability to love one another. Princess doesn't understand how to actually love someone, so instead she poses her suitors seemingly impossible tasks such as retrieving a fish from the moon. She gives these conditions to her suitors because it's the only way to measure how much they "love" her; if someone could manage to do such an impossible task for her sake, then surely that must mean that they love her, right? It's with this kind of logic that she continues to give impossible tasks, being completely serious when saying that if one of her suitors managed to accomplish such a thing, she would stay with them for the rest of her life. She may be whimsical and somewhat difficult, but even with her relaxed personality, she has certain convictions that she wouldn't go back on.

As calm and almost apathetic as Princess is though, when strange and out of the ordinary circumstances are presented to her, she becomes increasingly curious. After meeting the Small Person, she asks him a lot of questions regarding where he came from, how he came to her island, and so on and so forth. She previously did not know how to read or write but slowly learns after the Small Person mentions that he would need a written version of her story to take back with him to the moon. While she never had much interest in her grandmother's story before, thinking it too girlish and romantic, she starts to wonder about certain aspects of it when the Small Person asks her questions about it that she can't immediately answer. Princess remains a dispassionate, calm person, but it's actually quite easy to make her curious and excited over things she doesn't know. As long as the strange circumstances are presented to her directly, she'll quickly gain interest.

Why is your character a good fit for the setting of Soul Campaign, and what will they do once they are in the game?
Once she's in Death City, Princess will mostly be interested in learning about the people there and exploring. She's not used to seeing people so lively after all, and she's never been to a city either. Basically, she'll just be excited to be there and do whatever she finds interesting.

List the abilities your character will still have in Soul Campaign:
Princess no special abilities in particular, so there won't really be anything for her to keep.

List the weaknesses your character will gain (or lose) in Soul Campaign:
Due to being in a completely different world, Princess likely won't be treated with the same kind of reverence and respect that she receives back home. It won't bother her much though.

[ WEAPON ]
Soul Description:
calm, curious, whimsical, relaxed, dispassionate, simple

Princess's soul is just a pale white-yellow with her hair and a calm smile.

(Weapon Form) / Ability:
Princess's weapon form will be a tessen, or a Japanese war fan such as these. The fan will have wooden ribs and iron cover with a coral pattern going over the fan. As for her weapon ability, after cutting an object, she'll be able to make the gravity of the area surrounding the object similar to the gravity of the moon for a short while.

[ SAMPLES ]

First-Person
[The feed starts on audio at first as Princess fiddles with the device to try and get it right. She's not used to technology in general, and you can hear her mumbling "Was this how it was? Or was it like this?" as she presses a few buttons. Soon enough though, her face appears on video.]

Oh, there we go! I'm sorry that took so long, but hi, everyone. I have a question for you today. I hope it isn't too strange, but seeing as how I've been told that I'm rather strange myself, it might be unavoidable. [Despite just calling herself strange, the girl looks into the camera with a small, calm smile. She doesn't seem particularly bothered.]

Have you ever thought that time travel was possible? Back in my home, it should be around 3000 AD going by the Gregorian calendar, so I must have time traveled by coming here. For all of humanity's previous achievements, I don't think time travel was actually ever one of them. [She pauses for a moment, humming in thought.] Or maybe it was and everyone just forgot? Oh well, that's not important. In any case, I never thought I'd be able to see people so passionate like this. It's really exciting honestly!

So that's why I wanted to ask others. Is it possible to time travel back in your home? Have you ever wanted to time travel? In return, if you answer my question, feel free to ask me one too. It's only fair to do it like that, don't you think?

Third-Person
While Princess had naturally been expecting it to be dark when she went to bed, she realized that it was somehow a little too dark in the room. That, and not to mention the ground underneath her bare feet felt completely different from her own room. It was startling, to say the least, but the girl stood there calmly until the screen lit up and began listening to the man speaking. She was already confused just by seeing the screen light up like that--the island didn't really have much technology on it, after all--but as she continued to listen, she couldn't help but feel more and more curious.

So she was in a place where she would be fighting... Witches? And she was either going to wield a weapon or turn into one herself? She couldn't really make sense of it all, but the tone in which the man spoke caught her attention most of all. He was... so serious. Grave. He was truly concerned about the situation here and was concerned enough to make this message to explain things. Princess had never seen someone with so much emotion to them, not any of her suitors or even the tin man had this much livelihood to them. Which was to be expected, of course. Human beings had long since stopped having such energy and willpower. Fighting witches and turning into a weapon aside, this is what made her most curious. Was everyone like that here?

She couldn't help but smile as she was escorted out of the dark room. All the buildings and people that were here! Was this what you called a city? She'd heard vague descriptions of what they were like before, but seeing it for herself was a completely different thing. Just where was she exactly? If "Death City, Nevada" was a term that was supposed to have meaning, it long since lost it along with so many other things that were once important to humanity. It was obvious that this wasn't the home she knew, but there was something else that made it so... different. People here had a different kind of energy to them that reminded her of the stories from before humanity lost its spark. Princess didn't really know how much she'd be able to help with the witch problem or if she even really wanted to, but one thing was for sure.

There was so much she wanted to know now.

Notes
Princess is never given an official name and is only referred to as "Princess" and "Story Telling Girl". I'll just be calling her Princess.
